General art is a foundational art course and a prerequisite for all other art courses. GA explores many materials to create varied experiences in art to allow students to find a focus or discipline they like most. The Elements and Principles of Design are applied to sculpture, collage, drawing, cartooning, ceramics, painting, and more. In GA students will also learn to critique art work (including their own) and will learn fundamentals like facial proportions, 2 and 3 point perspective, and more.
